Default 350X Stock Or Aftermarket Tank

i was just wondering if i should buy those plastic gas tanks. or just repair my original stock tank, it just has a couple of dents. is itbetter to fix or buy another. i prefer keeping the stock one to keep it as original as possible.

I would probably try to fix the stock tank over getting a new plastic one. I tried a few different brands for my 185s and none of them fit worth a flip.

Thats what I did. I wanted my 185s to look as original as possible and the plastic tank not only wouldnt fit worth a flip, It didnt look anything like the original. I finally found an original metal tank and its over at a body shop now being sanded, dents repaired and painted.

Try to pop the dents out first. If you can't reach them, do what I did and close the petcock and put the cap on. Get an air nozzle and fill the tank with compressed air through the vent in the cap. It popped out a couple of mine. The bigger ones in front I just used Bondo.

Then you could put a snazzy paint job on it.

yea i guess ill try that. i have an air compressor you think with that i can pull out the dents, well some of them. look at my pic on the 350x the right side one, you can see the big dent well you can bearly see it. i dent it with my knee when i was busting wheelies. i want to fix that one espacially and on the other side its perfect.
