Rincon vs Brute Force
#1
I am in the market 4 a rincon or a brute force. I often take trips to the mountains where the terrain is extremely rough and would shatter any atv that couldn`t handle the abuse or steep slopes. I would like to hear from anyone who would know which atv of the 2 would be best 4 my riding style.

I joined this page trying to answer the same question for myself. I'm 6'2 and 200+ and am looking for absolute reliability, but want something snappy enough as to not get boring. I also favor ground clearance (mudding/rock crawls) over smooth road high speed cornering.
I rode a buddy's Rincon. I thought it had a nice ride and all, but it didn't have as much power as I figured it would. I also thought it was tall geared- probably only an issue if you went crawling over rocks a lot. Comparing it to an older manual tranny Yamaha convinced me that the slightly vague feeling of the IRS was worth it for the smoother ride. I think I was going faster than I realized on the Rincon.
The other one on my short list is the Brute Force 750. I would imagine it would not lack for power, but I haven't gotten to ride one. I'm not a fan of rubber belts, and I've heard they have straight cut gears that create a whine that some people commented on.
It would appear the King Quad has shim and bucket valves? If so, that would make adjustment a pain. I wonder if they will live up to the hype?
Something about the Yamahas and Polaris just didn't call to me (I know, not a rational reason) but my jury is still out on both. The MV looks cool, but it's weight puts it in a class with few riding areas close by.
Anyway, you and I are in the same boat.
