Hello Everyone:
I have been lurking here for some time getting the information I needed to make my purchase of a new 2001 Rancher thats Green. I just brought it home tonight. I want to thanks everyone for all the great information here.

One question I haven't seen answered, How far can you get in one tank of gas. It would be interesting to know that info before I take it on any distance runs.

Thanks again
Bill

I did an 80Km (about 50 miles) trip the other day on mostly logging roads and used almost 3/4 of a tank. If I ride the tight, rocky, muddy trails I might get 30Km (about 20 miles) on a 1/2 tank. I have not run it to empty yet.

Hope this helps.

Nice thing about an ES .. you get a trip meter and odometer, so ..

On steep mountain trails, about 24 mpg.
On an ATV course, about 30 mpg, which included some slow, high rev playtime.

Have fun.

I haven't ran the gas completely out. The farthest on a tank so far has been 60 miles. I would guess with reserve somewhere between 80-100 miles to a tank.

With just straight trail driving I have seen upwards of 120 miles on a tank.

Just think of the mileage you could get if your poor quad wasn't hauling around 230lbs of ugly fat!
