I work in a prototype shop and we take everything to the extream. try it no dif then a wheel spacer alot of companys do not try everything they want it to go to production. The only down fall is trail riding in rocky areas that could damage caliper. onother mod put the fan and radiator inside the frame lightens up the front end.

Well whether you use mass produced wheel spacers or use washers on your own you are still severely weakening the front end. A good tree clip or hard landing and you will be towing it home.

Not sure what your location has to do with anything, but there should be enough tight wooded trails in that area that you would want to be careful at high speeds.
