I just read a post were someone mentioned loosing the fuel valve screw and it reminded me of when I lost mine. Luckily the side plastic will hold the **** in place or I would have lost that too. When I got my new screw from the dealer he said there was a lot of people having the same problem. I just put a little silicone on the threads (poor mans Lock-tight) and haven’t had any problems since. I was just wondering how many others had also lost there’s

I noticed I lost mine too. I'll be lock-titing the replacement whenever I get one. Right now I just have some folded paper jammed in to hold it on their tight.

If you check it and it’s actually still there, just take it out put a little lock-tite on it (or silicone like I did).

That's the only screw I missed after disassembling my bike and loctiting everything right after picking it up.

You need a different dealer, mine laughed when I told them, he put a new screw + loctite in mine free of charge, even though it was several months out of warranty, he was also getting ready to give me the plastic fuel selector itself, before I told him I still had it (he also gave me one of those black rubber bushings that hold the front of the seat/plastic in place, free of charge).

Some dealers suck, some do not. If your dealer wouldn't spare the $.50 to keep his customer happy, he deserves every bad thing you can say about him to other potential customers (it might help to make him aware of this).
