I've got a 55hp Banshee and want to run 22" tires in back [for clearance]. I plan on just general duning, not hill-shooting.

What gearing do you guys suggest? What if I run 20's, how will that change the gearing choice?

What is stock?

Stock gearing has always worked well for us as far as the dunes go.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
Some people go down a tooth on the front for better accereration, but if you've got 55 H.H., I'd think you've got more than enough H.P. to push the 22" tires???

I think we had 20" 8-paddle Haulers on ours. Worked fine, just need to take the swing-arm guard off, or you'll get high centered all the time.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

have you been duning before,ive been thinking about going for a while now where do you plan on going?i posted up the gear calculator because you asked what stock gearing was and how the bigger tires would affect gearing and this page has all the answers.ive been wanting to go to sand mountain but never got around to it.hell there for a while i was thinking about trading in my raptor for a jet ski because of all this dam rain weve been getting but it finaly stoped[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img] so i think ill keep my raptor.
