DS 450?
#1
with the new trend in sport quads in the mid-range cc level i was wondering if anyone knew of bombardier entering this field or maybe looking into it. trx 450, yfz 450, and the ltz 400 are all tearing up tracks and are great trail bikes. i am on the east coast and dont have dunes to ride where a ds is at home. i love my ds but have been thinking about the yfz alot lately. just wondering if anyone has heard any rumours. i would hold out for another year if there was a ds 450 in the works. can you imagine a rotax 450 in a lightweight frame. he11 yea. that would be one bad a$$ trail machine. anything you may have heard fill me in. thanks

Yeah, every few weeks another one of these threads starts. At least its been that way for the last few months. Do a search to find lots of threads of people saying how cool this and that would be. But you wont find much on facts because there arent many out there.
What we think is that it was put on hold when BRP split from Bomb Aero.

Yes a ds will wheelie with (just throttle) but you will find that the balance point for a wheelie on the ds is quite a bit more vertical than most quads>>>>>>>
I told my buddy that if the engine were the same and the rest of the quad was 10-15% smaller/lighter it would be perfect. The wheel base could be about an inch smaller, and the quad could be about 4" shorter with a little bit shorter handle bars.
