Mud Lites vs Dirt Devils

I am replacing stock tires with 26's on my wifes 04 Yam. Bruin 350. Which is the better choice for trail and mud use ? Should I go with the Lites because of the weight difference??
Thanks

I went with Dirtdevils at the 25" size, I seen too many people saying that the Mudlites don't wear very well in the long term.
My Dad has Dirtdevils on his bike and they are a great tire for all around use.
I'm still going to get some mud tires one of these days (27" ITP 589 m/s on alum wheels) but I want the stock size Dirtdevils for all around use so I don't tear up the spendy 589's.

I have Dirt Devils on my Honda and they work very well in all type of trail riding. I have about 1000 miles on them and they are showing little wear. They well really great in the snow I live in N.W. Penna so I would know .
I hope that this help a little.

The Dirt Devil will last longer but If you want a good tire that shed's mud, the Mud Lite will be your best tire. I bought a set of 27'' Dirt Devils and the tires rode well but when it came to mud they was horrible. They will also put alot of stress on your drivetrain due to their weight.

I have the mudlites....wouldnt replace them if I were offered another tire free in trade. In my experience they seem to wear the same as any other tire, although I DONT ride on roads, or a lot of rocks. I believe what for the purpose they were made for (trails and mud) you cant beat their abilities, price or light weight.

1500 miles on the 26" Mudlites on my Prairie 650. They still have at least 50% tread left. Your wife's will wear even better, as my backs are worn down from spinning them. I can break them loose on pavement w/ the P650. I think that the 350 would be better off w/ the Mudlites, as opposed to the DD's due to the weight difference. You will not notice as large a power loss from the Mudlites. However, be aware that 26" tires will take some "snap" away from the quad. It is just physics. Heavier tire and larger rotational mass = less accelleration.

Everyone has pretty much nailed the answer. Mud Lites will wear on pavement and very sharp rocky terrain and if you are heavy on the throttle. If you primarly ride soft trails they will last very well and provide excellent traction. Even though they are light they will make a noticeable difference in power expecially on the 350. You can get a 9" wide front tire in the 26" size that will help keep the weight down and be a little easier steering also. If the Bruin has low range she should be in it on the trails, actually a clutch kit would probably be a good idea also.
I have two sets of the Mud Lites and am very happy with them except for one respect which is tire height. But most tires fall short compared to the stated sizes once they are mounted up.

I just did a yahoo search on ITP Mudlites and found several places advertising 26x9x12. I believe Rockymountainatv has them as well, but was having trouble connecting to their site for some reason.
