I am getting a 1992 Lt250r with a pipe and silencer all rebuilt and .4 over. and i was wonderin if i could beat my friends stock 350x In a drag race.

 

I think the 350 would take you.

 

id like to say 350x..but those 250r's can really haul once they get going

 

If the 250R looses, there is something wrong with it!

 

Id say tough compo. trust me ive raced one of those. pretty fast.

 

Well I have no experience with the lt but my wifes blaster hung with a 350x, and thats with me on the blaster and Im no small fry I mean I ride a DS for gods sake have you ever seen a small DS rider. Anyway the 350x was bone stock and the blaster has what is listed below. I had him off the line but he caught me and after that we were dead even at 200' 300' 400'.................................

 

Then something was wrong with the 350x. I raced one with my bike and it had about the same mods and it was too funny. Yeah mine has a lil done but a stock, in my opinion the 350x should have won. But, not all bikes are the same though.

I usually avoid these types of discussions but... If both quads are running at their the peek performance and the riders have equal riding abilities, the LT should smoke the 350x. The snap of the power band should launch you to a early lead and pull you through to the finish line. Got to love those 6 speed trannys.

I raced a 03 Raptor with many mods 2 weeks ago on a 500' track. We were almost dead even on several passes. It depended on who hooked up on the start better. Never more than a 1/2 in front or back.

 

I duno i think the 250 might win but got a Kawasaki Tecate so i would probly smoke both of you
