Default Bare Minimum electrical

I am trying to get my project going so I can get the carb tuned and all that. My question is, I have a wiring harness that I could use, but I am getting a new one, its not going to be here until monday though. I want to use the one I have now so i can tune it this weekend. What are the basic things that I need to hook up so I can get it going. I dont plan to hook up any lights or anything like that. I removed the battery and also have a battery eliminator on the way. Can I run it without the eliminator if i dont run lights? I just want to get it going.

Also, I am waiting on the seal that goes behind the secondary clutch, can i get my clutches aligned without that in there, then put it in after?

thanks for the help.

john

John all you have to have hooked up is the trigger coil for the spark. Hook the connecter from the stator to the cdi, and hook up the coil and your brown ground wire. That will give you spark and you will be able to start it. Do not hook up the regulator without a load in the system it will burn up because it will put out maximum output with no load. You can align your clutches no problem without the secondary clutch seal. Tape up the other connectors that go to the regulator rectifier as well!

so... to hook it up, i plugged the three prong wire from the stator to the cdi, there are also two yellow wires and a ground wire in wit the stotor plug. where do they go? then the cdi has wires off it. from the manual i have, it looks the like the blue wire coming from the stator goes to the coil. The coil has the plug wire, a prong for a small wire, which is where i think the blue wire goes, then it has a big place on each end to hook wires. What are these for?

I have ordered the manual for this quad but its not in yet, thats why i have so many questions.

No problem, hook the blue wire to the coil, tape the rest off and you should be good to go! Oh, hook the ground wire up as well!
