Default Just rebuilt 300ex, now have a clutch problem.

I just rebuilt a 300ex with a big bore kit. Now the clutch will not dis-engage. I have the cable adjusted as tight as it will go, but the clutch is still pulling pretty hard when the clutch lever is pulled. I know this is not a cable problem because I pulled the lever on the case as far as it will go and the clucth is still engaged.

when i rebuilt the engine I pulled the basket off but did not take it apart, so nothing changed.....any ideas on what this could be??

thanks,
Eddie

Sometimes when that happends it due to the push rod in the clutch assembly being worn to badly. Same thing happend to me and when I got a new one it was fine again.

thanks for the response, but I dont think this is an issue related to wearing out. the clutch worked fine 2 weeks ago before I rebuilt the engine. Im sure this is something I did not put back in correctly.
