Default Coolant Gauge on Sportsman 400

hey everyone, i am thinking about putting a water coolant gauge on my 05 Sportsman 400. i was just wondering if any of you guys have done this before, if so what type of gauge do recommend, and how did you install it (sender, and where you mounted the gauge at). If anyone has some pics of this it would be nice to see. thanks for all help ahead of time guys.

I installed a Sunpro Triple Gauge kit (water temp, oil pressure, voltemeter) on my 500 scrambler. The water temp gauge was real easy. Just replace the stock sending unit on the left side of the head with the parts from the kit.

no problem. To give you a better idea, the sensor you want to replace it with is #4 on this diagram. Be sure to use a good amount of teflon sealant on it. Oh, the gauge you want is the mechanical one. You may be able ot make the electrical on work, but I have the mechanical one and it works good. It is lighted too and I have that wired into my headlight switch. You will also want to try and seal the gauge as much as possible with some silicon
