Default Question about oil light and oil change

Is the red light supposed to be lit when key is on, then go out once started?
(sorry, no owners manual, just being careful)
Also, I have hear the system needs to be bled after oil change? True for 2002 Baja? Where is the bleeder and what is the process?

Thanks, when I find a manual I will stop asking stupid questions!

Where is the bleeder and what is the process?

Default Question about oil light and oil change

YES the light will come on then shut off in a second. you only need to bleed the system after the oil change if the light stays on when you start it . there is a sloted brass screw behind the oil filter, losen it then roll the motor over a few times so it pushes oil out tighten replase filter and cover and B on yr way. Ive never had to bleed the system after oil change, only after a nasty wheele that came back on the roll bar hard.

If the oil light stays on it can also mean that a check valve is stuck. Happened to my DS right out of the crate. There is one check valve behind the oil filter and the other is inside the motor. You'd have to split the case to get to it. That's the one that hung up on mine. Good luck.
