tires/rims for climbing trees
#1
I'm looking for the best tires and rims for the following:
AC 650 4x4
Lots of logs/stumps/etc
Some rock
Moderate mud
Snow plowing for a 300 yard driveway
So far, it sounds like itp589's w/ c-5 series rims? I've thought about the Gators or Dirt Devil's as well? For rims, it seems like ITP is almost the only major player?
thanks!

Millsd,
I think that you would really like the 589's. I have the titan 589's which are almost the same as the itp's. The only major difference is a couple of lbs. The have the same pattern. I do lots of riding through logged off areas and alot in old iron ore mines. I also do my fair share of mudding and playing in the snow. So far I am extremly satisfied with them and I don't think it will change.
As far as rim are concerned, I have stock rims so I don't know what to tell ya.

If you are riding over large rocks and fallen trees the Bighorns may be better suited for that task. My nephew has the 589's on his Grizz and I have the Mud Lites on my Grizz and what I have noticed is that the 589's do not do well climbing over logs or large stones. The Lites actually do better in those conditions. Now the Bighorns (set on my brother's Eiger) will climb over large logs and stones better than either the Lites or 589's. I suspect that the Bighorns will perform better in snow and ice also because the 589's and Lites tend to dig to the surface for traction.
