I am wanting to put on a set of 20x11x9 blackwaters on my 400ex, I was wondering if anyone has done this and how they work. I ride alot on wet sand and loose dirt would they improve my traction.

I have those tires on mine. Yes, they improved traction greatly and even climb awesome hills. I would buy them again.

I know this isnt a 400ex but a friend of mine has a highly moddified banshee with blackwaters and he said it felt like it lost some power.I dont know how it would work on a 400 but id say go for it.

I was at my local honda shop yesterday, and i saw a 2001 400EX they had modded. It had blackwaters on the back. They made it look mean as hell. I would get em. A friend of mine has them and they do great.

I put a set on my Warrior, they do great in mud but will take away some power. They weigh quite a bit more that the stock tires and thus rob you of power trying to move that much mass. I dropped one tooth on my front sprocket and that did the trick, only trade off was reducing my top end speed from around 55 to about 50 or so. I also noticed that I can't slide it as easily since they bite so darn good, but its still better than getting stuck and having you daughter pull you out on a Suzuki 160 and laughing at you the whole time! HA!
