The Scrambler is capable of 80+ hp. I have seen these moded like crazy and nothing can touch them. There are alot of guys on here that have moded 400's. Go to www.hpd-inc.com. Everything you need for a bad a$$ 400.

thanks for the reply i was looking at aaen performance for mods, i was just going to ad a 38mm carb, pipe/silencer,rad valve,k&n filter and clutch kit it states it will get you around 52.5 hp. i would like to leave the motor stock for reliablity. i'm trying to get the bike to around the same as a stock banshee does anybody know if the mods i listed is enough.

Go for the HPD trail Mod (around 65hp) if you dont want to go to radical. You are going to want to at least put a Wiesco piston in it if you plan on modifing it. The stock piston wont last that long.

I personally dont think youll benefit all that much from the carb unless you port the cylinder. Instead of spending 250 on a carb, you should pull the jug, get it ported and install a wiesco piston. - The stock pistons break. - With a good pipe, clutching and and a good port job, you will handle stock shees easily.- my 2c
Another good site is Arizona bad boys.
Good luck!

to compete with a shee i highly suggest HPD race mods combo with a major
lightening up if you really taking it seriously,,,a streched swingarm
is a must have,,wider a-arm,,hot seat suspension kit (spring, fox shocks)...
let us known what you choose,,
