Default who to build my sport 400?

Who do you guys think I should go through to build my quad the way I want I know all the major players so I don’t need numbers or anything just wondering who would be able to build my quad to do what I want
so here is what I want I want stock clutch engagement I don’t like the pause I also want tons of low end power I don’t care if the quad only goes 55mph as long as it pulls with a good yank the whole way there...do you think I should get porting or should I change gears should I get a stroked motor what do you suggest??

I second the vote for RCR. When you have a specific request,it is best to have someone who will be hands on with you to find exactly what you want. His broad knowledge of the 400L engine and the different pipes ,etc available is an asset in your situation. You are probably not looking for a high rpm race pipe that needs high engagement speed and high port timing to work properly.I feel Rick would be a good person to discuss your needs with,as he represents many different pipes etc.

dennis shotwell, if u want to go totally nuts with it then go to him. if u wanna build a complete tourqe monster then go to rick. but dennis would be the person to go to if u wanted lots of low end, and a yank your arms off mid range and top end.

On a pipe tat uses the stock clutching I would go with a Dynoport and then have Bubba port the cylinder.Check out the pipe at http://www.dynoport.com/ and then I would go with a set of V Force II reads.

If you want all low and mid range then go with a Dynoport pipe or a bottom end pipe from Rick. Proper porting to match the pipe along with a mild increase of compression will yield all the grunt you could ever want. Most people like to see them rip on the top end, but they can be made just as nasty for bottom and mid.

I agree with Bubba on the pipe, then send him your cylinder and let him work his magic!

No offense intended to anyone, or their skills. HPD has years of direct engine dyno time on this particular powerplant. They have the HP, and they have the reliability to go along with it.

My 2c.
