I`m about to purchase my firsy atv. Plan on using it mostly for hunting upatate NY as well as some trail riding.Right now I`m a little undecided btn a Big Bear 400 for $4000 or a recon for about $3400. These are new vehicles and the budget I have set is $4k for a max.BTW I`m 6`5 and about 235 . Both vehicles felt ok as far as size. Any onput would be greatly appreciated..TIA

I am a happy Recon owner and it is a great machine but for your size and going hunting I would get the Big Bear.More power and more room to haul out deer.

I own a Recon it as great quad. The big bear is good also. I would recommend a big bear due to your size, it will give you more power. The big bear is worth the extra $600 you get 170+cc more motor.

Big Bear has more rack capacity than the Recon.
