Default I miss my quad

I am in KapusKasing, canada right now for work and it's freakin cold up here. I'm talking -16 degrees and windy, lots of snow and ice. I sure do miss my quad oh and my wife. I called her last night and she said back in michigan it was raining pretty good and turning into snow, I checked my email this morning and she said she woke up to about 4 inches of snow on the ground. I would love to have my 700EFI up here to ride in this snow, but it is very cold up here so I would probably catch a cold or something. the exchange rate sucks too, I took a cash advance off my G.M. corportate card at the bank and they gave me 200 canadian which is like 170 american I think. but up here in canada they double tax you for government and then province tax. everything up here is very expensive. I can't wait to get back home and get my quad out and start plowing and riding, I will be back home on monday the 6th so it isn't too far away but isn't close enough either.

Sorry to hear that silver. i dont think you'd want to do much riding here in the cold windy rain. we had some good snow on the holiday for a day. I havent been riding either since the Mounds trip. Didnt you say you needed some repairs to the beast in one of your posts?
Jim

ps. the exchange rate will all work out for the better on your card, i was in Toronto last Feb. for training.

ya my quad did have some issues. I took it in for repairs before I came to canada. it is freakin -26 today, god is it cold, I kneeled down earlier and my jeans stuck to the ground. I took the quad in for the plastic not fitting good which I showed you at the mounds, the brakes sqeek when applied, a roar/vibration noise when throttle applied, rattle/sqeek from the front when throttle is applied, and the speedo/guage is fogged/fogging up, and a coolant leak from the coolant hose. hopefully they kinda do an overall checkout on the quad. this is the kinda stuff that bothers you when you know you only have a 6 month warranty ya know. I need to start riding my wifes 700EFI since she doesn't ride it very often that way I can see if it has any issues before the warranty goes out on it.

the exchange rate is alot to get use to, I am not use to getting a pocket full of coins back instead of dollar bills. they have the $2 coins and the $1 coins and then of course quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies. there paper money looks like monopoly money kinda cause of all the different colors. we went out for lunch the yesterday, I got steak fajitas and a soda and it came to $21 and some change, and I still had to leave a tip. god that is crazy. and then there are not to many places who have fountain soda so they sell cans of soda instead. I asked for a refill at one place and got a can of soda which I got charged for. this sucks, I can't wait to get home and see my wife and warm heated home.

silverbullett -26 is DAMN COLD bro! you'd better keep your mouth/nose covered when you go outside. i've read that in extreme cold like that you can get bronkiel (wow what bad spelling!LOL) problems.

when are you returning home?(quad misses you......ok, wife does to!LOL!)

hang in there man! be safe!

Bullet, those things are all somewhat normal for the 700s except for the leaking coolant, used to be from the water pump cover on the '02's til they fixed it with a metal cover. My speedo didn't fog until I had to have the pod replaced now it does-DOH!
I'm going to be purchasing my second speedo cable/sensor soon, 2nd failure.

I return home today which is December 6th. ya I'm pretty sure she misses me too, hopefully my wife does too. ha ha. I have been here for 8 days and it feels like a month, man I am going to have to stay indoors for the night with my wife and not come out till morning. 8 days in an ok motel sucks, at least when we go to denver, phoenix, georgia etc we get to stay at Embassy suits hotels which is actually owned by Hilton hotels. they have free cook to order breakfasts and a two hour happy hour bar which after a long day of work feels good to drink on someone elses bill. we usually sit there for the full two hours then go to the bar in the hotel and finish the night. here in Canada the liquer/beer is government owned so grocery stores don't sell beer, you have to go to "The Beer Store". I have not had a beer the whole time I was out here cause at night the police are out like crazy, I actually got pulled over the other night leaving the bar at 2:00a.m. everyone walks here and there but I didn't drink anythink so I drove, the cop followed me to the motel then asked for my license and registration. he quickly gave my stuff back after he seen that there was a drunk guy stumbling from one edge of a nearby street across the lanes to the other edge. he nailed him.

Welcome to Canada and I guess I saw this late so I guess its goodbye also. Riding up here is pretty sweet but winter takes a bit to getting used to! I haven't been out far aa bit due to the snow/work realtionship I have going on here. And ya taxes suck....and you better bringing your american cash up and you will get 30% for it anywhere!
