I have a 1997 Explorer 400. February past I had to dissamble quite a few bits and pieces to diagnose a problem with the swingarm. It was sloppy - moving left and right. On a chain driven quad this also results in an inability to keep the chain properly tensioned. Once the swingarm was removed I discovered that the mounting points on the frame had worn. These turn out to be a pair of washers which are welded to the frame of the quad. The swingarm bolts had worn elongated holes in the washers. I ground away the welding holding them washers in place, installed two replacement washers and reassembled the quad. Yesterday, I felt the rear end moving again and when i parked it I could grab the rear bumper and see noticable play in the swingarm mounting area again. This is after about 700 miles. Does anyone out there have a solution for this problem or has anyone experienced this situation before ? (This quad now has about 5600 miles showing.)

one of two things 1 weld broke 2 end of the swing arm could be broke where the bushing sits in? as i have heard of this happening i had to weld washer in on mine to
