my buddy has a 2001 recon 2wd and wants to increase performance a little bit....whats out there for it? whats worth the money and whats not?

 

UNI air filter (get rid of that restrictive stock wire insert), vent the airbox lid (with those 1" UNI filtered air vents), and an FMF MegaMaxII pipe.

 

If it's an '01, you can and definetly should go with the FMF megamaxll. Also I believe you can get a 250ex Moose Power kit for it, with the stage 2 jet kit, and k&n filter. And maybe think about an aftermarket CDI box, with a hotter spark and higher rev limiter, also available for the earlier models. I'll try to find the site for the box if you're interested.

 

I love my recon and all but if ur gonna spend anymore than 500$ just go ahead save up and buy a 300ex or sumthin sportier if ur lookin for performance .
