400ex Shocks on 300ex
#1
I know that you can do this, and i was looking on ebay, and i realized i can get a pair or used 400ex shocks for like 60 bucks. Then the bracket for it is something like 25 bucks. I am all ready to do this, but does it effect the handling of the quad? I love how my 300ex handles and i dont want to sacrifice some of the handling for some for shock travel for jumps. Another question, im pretty sure the answer is no, but will a 400ex back shock bolt on? If not, are there any that will? And if there is, will that effect the handling?

Honda 250R shocks will work on the front and back so I think. I have a 1998 Honda 300 ex with +2 A-arms and OHLINS shocks thats are for a 250r. It should work. Let me know if you have any other questions.

So the 250r works on the back? Well, i know the 400s will work on the front, but im just wondering if it will handle the same, as before. If it is worse, im not going to do the switch.

hye guys, just check out my pics, i got a set of raptor front shocks and 250r a arms, i had to do some grinding and made some bushings for the a arms and had to make an upper mount for the shocks, for the back end it's got the stock shock with the swingarm streched 3", i found a guy in michigan and he did it for $150, all in all it's a long travel smooth riding duner for my girlfriend.
