Default should i go old?

I am thinking about getting a 1988 or 1990 warrior, but i am not sure if it is too old. anyone have any opinions? and does age affect the speed of the four wheeler drastically?

Depends on the abuse it has been through? I have a buddy with an 89 just rebuilt with a cam and it runs strong with my wifes 00 warrior and beats it. Check it out real good for compression and leaks and just all around abuse before you buy it. good luck

ya im looking and i found an 87' warrior that i can get for like 700-900$, and the people say that it runs good and they have replaced the axle, bearings and sprockets, and the pics look good so when i see it for myself i hope its as good as they say. i was lucky too because these people live in new york and I live in connecticut so meeting arrangments will be easy. and When i show my dad the price he will buy it for me for christmas.
