***KODIAK HELP***
#1
heres the deal- i own a 04 kodiak 400 4x4, i was riding in west virginia and got in a mudhole, i made it through the mudhole, but when i came out the belt was slipping REALLY bad... i drained the cover on the trans. and on the way back to the trailer i realized my quad would hit 30mph and rev really loud but wouldnt accelerate any more.. when i got home i took off the cover for the trans and cleaned out all the dirt and crap i got in there and cleaned the belt... i put it all back together and it still tops out a 30mph and revs REALLY loud at 30mph.. i think it might be something to do with the belt or clutch..... any ideas?

You have mud in the primary counterweights...clean it out and lube the rollers and that should fix it. A service manual will show you how to do it.

Hello and welcome aboard
When you cleaned the belt an stuff did you take it all apart and clean the weights. This happened to someone I know. He ended up doing a major cleaning. It was the weights that would not slide with increased speed.
