Owned both. The Blaster is a kick to ride, but it won't hold up like the Honda will. The EX is more mellow than the Blaster, but you can ride it forever without a single problem.

Like he said, you might want to consider a larger machine that you can grow into, if you can afford it.

hey i got a blaster and im 17 6 foot 2 inches and 155lb and i fit fine on my blaster. when i have my gf on the back with me it gets a lil cramped but its fine. i picked the blaster because its small, lightweight, and a 200 2 stroke and its got *****. i can throw it around like its nothing. another + is that i can pick it up by myselfand put it in the bed of my lifted truck witout a problem. i can barly get our warrior in by myself. id go with the blaster cause its its faster, handles better, got a 6 speed w/clutch, light weight, not shaft driven liek the 250 and tehre are millions of mods out there for it. and blasters are very reliable. good luck

Even so, you dont need a 'brand new' rapt, get a used one with mods for less than one new. A 250 is too small for a 5'9'', 150 lb... just cus you can fit on it doesn't mean it's the right size for you. I'm 6'2'' 260 and can ride a 50cc bike no problem, but its way too small for me. I'd say you get somthing in the 400-450 range.
