'04 yamaha raptor 350 reverse problems

Default '04 yamaha raptor 350 reverse problems

I am having alot of reverse problems wit my '04 350 raptor when i put it in reverse then put it back into nutral and let go of the clutch it clicks like crazy. so what i have to do is shift into first then switch it into reverse and i cant stand it so if you can help me give me a holla on why that does it

Yeah I used to have that problem too. What I do now is, when you shift it out of reverse keep pushing ahead on the leaver and kinda pop the clutch out and in once, but don't let it go all the way out. When you do that it should let the reverse leaver go forward the last little bit.

Mine did the exact same thing also,i thought something was wrong with it,but thats how they all are.I hardly ever have that problem anymore,you'll get used to it and find away around soon.

just release the clutch a little and it will pop into place, same thing goes with getting it back into foward.

my warrior did the same thing nothings wrong it doesn't go all the way into gear just give it a little help ease out clutch and continue to pus it foward into place [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

I just bought a raptor 350 today and the same thing happened to me it kinda scared me at first but I figured it out.

Yep and it took Electric Shift 10 more min. to help me figure it out.

well, if the reverse shifter is the same as on my warrior, which i think it is... you should be in first when using reverse anyhow...... according to the manual... then again my warrior is an 89...
