opinions on 7 paddle haulers on a 690
#1
I have a 690 that is built about as far as i care to take it and it is very fast but it is not the best in the first 100 feet in a sand drag race .I am thinking that my lightened flywheel along with my top end pipe(LTE) is the reason for this and the fact that i now use 10 paddle haulers probably contribute to the problem.I am going to order new tires and wheels and i think that a .125 wheel will help to reduce weight and mass but i would like some opinions on wether or not 7 paddles would be enough for my motor.I am not complaining about my motor being a mid range to top end set up but i would like to be able to get things spinning easier and keep them that way to really get into the power that i have and stay there and it would seem that maybe as little as 7 paddles might be a good way to go.7 paddles may seem to be too few for a built four stroke but this four stroke runs like a two stroke in many ways especially on initial take off so do you think i am way off on this or would it be worth a shot?I would especially like to hear from anyone who has run as few as 7 paddles on a built raptor or similar four stroke.

bad350twin-I may go with a 8 paddle hauler but if i can get enough traction initially with a 7 paddle then that may be the thing for me to do.I never thought that i would even consider a 8 paddle hauler much less a 7 but as i said this motor is very much two stroke like and this may be theway for me to get the most out of it in a drag race.
