i am finally getting my yfz 450 on thursday (my birthday). what should i ecpect. like arm ripping powerband? will it slughter my neighbors two z400? and how about a ds650. and how is it in wet fields with about an inch of mud when it rains.

 

but that is only when it rains. i'll be using it for gncc racing

You'll Kill a stock Z400(you better hope Gust isn't your neighbor [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]), but a DS you'll either tie or one of you win by a nose. The powerband is very snappy hitting about 4k rpm where it is like the banshees powerband, you want to hold on tight. Inch of mud? The bike would do it,dunno, it really depends on tires/rider on that one.

 

Bottom line, YOU WILL LOVE IT!! It has an almost two-stroke like power hit, but not quite as abrupt. As far as the inch of mud, don't get it dirty!!! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img] lol

Don't forget to get some extra oil so you can break it in good.

as for the mud.. its all tires that count.. stock will be fine in 1 inch but not more than 3 or 4 you will start sliding all over the place!!!
