bombardier ds 2 stroke 90

Don't know the answer to your question. Just wanted to "bump" your question to the 1st page and kindly ask the folks who have a DS-90 2 stroke to "try and help this fellow mini-quader out". thanks.
Perhaps its the dip stick to check its tranny level fluid? I know, I'm guessing to spark a few ideas...

yes that is the gear oil. there should be a drain plug on the bottom of the engine case almost directly under the dip stick. there also should de a vent tube coming out the other side of the case. the oil should be 80 to 90 weight gear lube. it is best to change this often expecially if you ride in mud or water. drain all the oil. fill until it runs out the vent tube and your done.

Many people have told me they like the blue Polaris oil much better then standard 80/90 gear oil. I'm positive both would work but Blue thick liquid is much easier to see on a dip stick &/or through a sight window. And much easier to tell if you have white water streaks in the oil. Also, most CVT minis only take 7 oz of tranny oil. That's a little more then a 1/2 coke can. And believe you me, 7 oz can be filled very fast. If you overfill, drain it to normal operating levels. I heard too much oil may blow tranny seals. The oil needs room to move around.
Hope this helps as well...
