some help for a trx 250x

Hey i need to know how much a port and polish would help a trx 250x i'm getting for christmas. please help me i need to know how many hp it would bolt on and how much would it be. thanks Cocoa[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

hey its me again and i wanted to know what else can i do to make it faster. It has a DGpipe its bored to a 380 and i want to flat track race it. please give me some ideas thanks Cocoa[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

hmmm last time i checked it was imposible to just bore a 250x to a 380...... come to think of it i even think it just might be imposible to bore and stroke a 250x to that size.
I hope that was just a typo and you really meant 280 and even then you would need a big bore sleeve for that cylinder.
I really don't think anyone can answer your question until you set us straight on what mods you already have

The guy said it was bored over to 80 something i wasnt paying much attention then bc i was looking at the bike but then know could ya help me out?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

ok so you are bored .080 over which means two things:
1) you have a 260cc quad
2) you are on your last overbore
a port job helps but you need to upgrade other things to get the most out of it. i.e. intake, exhuast, cam, valves, vlve springs. Considering you are on the last overbore i would just work on the bolt on parts for now and get the engine work done when its time for a new sleeve
