well im gonna be getting 2 new quads in Feb. A ute and a sport (500cc ute, small sport) and i was thinkin 250ex but than i found a price fo rna 04 300ex brand new for $3,500 which isnt bad at all to me lol. So my questions are how is the 300ex compared to the 250ex overall? (Just be riding on road and trails and maybe mud up to the wheels at the most.) And what did honda change on the 300ex from 04-05? Well the 300ex sounds perfect for what you intend to use it for. To answer your question the 300ex is much faster, handles better, and has a suspension that is more up to par with a sport atv. You can jump the 250ex fairly high but the landing will harshly tell you, you need more suspension travel. For that price you should go ahead and grab the 300EX over the 250. The 250EX is a good beginners/amateurs bike with its decent power, low maintenance, and overall ease of use. Honda made minor changes from 04-05 on the 300EX. I think they gave it a different tail light and changed the graphics slightly.

And people don't argue with me about the top speed between the two. The 300 accelerates a lot quicker then the 250 does.

 

300ex is such a better machine. look at their starts one from a utility machine (250ex) one borrowing design from the legandary 250r!

Go w/the 300 for sure, dont even think about gettin the 250, you wouldnt be dissapointed but you would be if u rode a 300 afterwards. Theyre are much more mods u can make to. Look at mine. and im not even close to being done w/modding it.

 

yea i was looking through the rocky mountain catalog i just got about a week ago and i was picking out all the mods i want for the 300. And i havnt even gotten it yet. lol
