Default anyone try the new ITP HDs

I was thinking about getting some for the back of my 400ex. How do they hook-up in medium to hard terrain. I ride in loose soft dirt somtimes too. I have Turf Tamers now and don't really like them. Are the HDs comparable to XCTs (thats what I usually run).

I tried the H-D's for the desert. They are now sitting in my garage, dismounted! They do not do very well on hardpack. I would think they would make a great tire for eastern trails, especially if things are soft and a little wet. Compared to XCT's, they have fewer ***** and they are more widely spaced (to shed mud, no doubt). XCT's are supposed to be the hot setup for desert racing, but they make the bike to tall and tippy for my taste. No matter what I try, I keep coming back to XC's for desert riding.
