I have a 1983 200x which i put a 1983 185s motor in. It has been bored .80 over with a wiesco high compression piston it has all new valves, rockers, and a brand new high performance racing cam which is a web cam. It has cobra alluminum race series exhaust and has been ported and polished. I put the stock 200x carb on becuase the 185s carb would not work becuase it wanted more fuel. Then after i put the 200x carb on it still needs more fuel so i took out the stock 110 jet and replaced it with 115 jet and in 1,2,3,4 it runs good but in 5th gear it bogs down like it is choking out what shall i do ?

 

How do you pull start that thing with all the compression?

 

you just be a man and hope the de cmpression is in a good mood when you go to pull the thing over

 

What year carb was the 200X carb off of? The 83 model year machines used a 110 main, the 84 and 85 used a 108 main.

 

If its bogging in 5th then your probly to rich. I couldnt imagine a 185 with a stock cam and ports to be over 110, but try a 112 and see if its better.

 

ITS NOT A STOCK CAM ITS A WEB CAM AND IT IS 5X BIGGER THAN A STOCK CAM
