Rancher-Rubicon tire & wheel swap???
#1
We have an '05 Rancher (stock) that my son rides. In about three weeks, I will be getting an '05 Rubicon for myself. Here's what I was thinking about and would liike to know if anyone has information as to whether or not it will work.
I would like to take the stock Rubicon wheels and tires and bolt them onto the Rancher. It would be a bit of an upgrade and then I guess I would have to get new tires and wheels for my machine as I would not want the 24"s off the Rancher and surely could not have a new machine with no wheels and tires on it just sitting in the garage, could I? So, any thoughts on this swap idea?

Aren't the Rubicon (rear?) wheels different? If I recall correctly, there were some posts about not being able to put ITP c-series wheels on the Rubicon??? Any input from your Rubicon owners? If it can be done, it would certainly be an upgrade for him, seeing the Rubicon has lighter aluminum rims vs the heavy steel rims on the Rancher.
I highly recommend you check out the ITP Holeshot ATR's on c-series rims for your Rubicon (if they will fit???). I have these on my Ranchers, and they make it a completely different (sporty) bike!
