Ice racing a 250r
#1
Im racing my 250r for the first year, and I have a few questions. Im running stock front tires and 18x9.5-8
cheng shins c826 for rears. How many studs in each lug is the best for these rear tires? Is there a pattern that I should follow? Is there a best way to have the studs facing? Face them with the axle or face them to the front of the machine? Or dont it matter? Any help would be great and any other tricks about ice racing would be great.thanks

one stud per lug on the rears except for the very out side lug, put two in diagnally at a 45 degree angle...like a tractor tire but only on the outside lugs. the rear studs should have the slot parallel with the axle except for those outside ones they should be perpendicular to the axle.
im not real keen on studding up any old tires...hopefully the front ones are in good shape.
you racing cwira??? if you are i will see you there!! good luck!
