How do you take the slack out of a throttle cable on a Honda 300? I've read about a lot of people doing it for better throttle repsonse, and I definitely need that. Mine is definitely not opening all the way up, and I'm gonna try and take the slack out tommorow.

The same way you remove the slack on the 400EX. Check how much slack there is between when you first put your thumb on the throttle verses when you feel the resistance of the spring inside the carb. If its more than 1/8 of an inch, then there's too much. That's the slack that you want to remove. Roll up that rubber sleeve where the throttle cable enters the throttle assembly. And loosen the round nut (its round on the 400EX) and adjust the cable so the slack isn't more than 1/8 of an inch.
