I'm really interested in wider rear's than the stock 10's. Can I put wider tires on the back with stock width rims?

How about taller? Better ground clearance than the 22"ers?

Almost always will be ridden on trails ranging from rocky to muddy and then some work around the house.

ya the taller the tire the better the grownd clearance, but also the taller the tire the less exceleration ull have.

 

I wouldnt go taller than the 22's, but ya can go wider. Im gettin a pair of Holeshot XCT's, 22-11-9, for the girlfriends 00 Warrior. I have the Holeshot XC's , 20-11-9, on my 01 Raptor,,,,love em.

 

Well it looks like 22's it is then!

Here's another thought. I've seen some wheel/tire combos for the Warrior with 22 fronts and 22 rears, or 20 rears or even 18 rears. If they are equal (ie 22's) front & rear I'm OK? But don't go taller in back and shorter in front?

Yeah I woudn't go taller in back and shorter in front .. that puts you in a perpetual nose dive.

You can go taller than 22" on the rear but it's not really recommended because it robs power. However, you can offset that by changing your front sprocket to a 12 and rear to a 42 tooth. But then again .. you're going taller on the rear and staying 22 on the front which puts you nose-down ..

I don't think I'll be going to 18's or even 20's on the rear of my warrior because of where I ride .. lots of rocks and stumps and such to get hung up on ...

 

I've about settled on 22" Razr's for the rear and not sure on the front but it will be a 22" of some sort...couple of places I ride the clearance will come in handy......

 

Get the 20", you'll like em' better! Just get a 1/4" thick swingarm guard to keep it covered.

If you actually measure the razor2's they aren't that much smaller than quite a few 22 inchers (think they're about 21" or so). I've done a lot of riding in rocky areas of the u.p. and it wasn't a problem (places sport quads shouldn't be!!!). If you throw a 1/4" swingarm guard on there you'll bump a couple rocks but they won't damage anything. You'll save quite a bit of weight with the 20's and be able to accelerate/handle much better. You won't have too much of a problem getting stuck in ruts either since the tires are so wide. Oh yeah, if you go with razors go with razor2's, you'll like their performance in the rocky areas!

 

I have 20" Dunlop radials on the back of the gf's warrior now. Dont really like em,,,,sidewalls are too thin, and they wear out pretty quick. Anyway,,,the extra inch of clearance is kinda biggie. In my opinion,,22's are good for a warrior. Bosch
