YFZ450 trail bike?
#1
A local quad shop (the same one I got my ltz250 from) has a yamaha yfz that he'll trade me for my 250, it's been raced so its got the exhaust, tires, nerfs, ect. But the bike looks like it's been worked, plastics are shaved with stretch marks, handlebars where bent when i looked at it, replaced now. Would it be wise to trade my bike for it? I just ride trails and feilds, Looking for a funner bike to move up to, but dont want a ton of maintenence. I'm really tempted to trade for the bike though.

Quick replies in the yamaha forum! I'm really just worried about it over-heating from slow trail rides, but I dont own one so I dont know how they are on trails, I've never seen one run either but I'm guessing they're beasts by the way people talk about them. He also has a raptor with nerfs, and some kind of aftermarket suspension he could trade me, I think it's an 02 but it looks equally beat on. Both quads look like they've been through hell, I just want to know how they hold up after they've been raced because I dont have much money to dump into a quad.
The 450 doesnt have reverse right?

I would defenatly trade it, the YFZ is reliable from what I done to it, I have beat mine in the track hard, and it's still running like new, and since it already has an exhaust, it's going to push even more.

I believe he's building up a 450R, the yfz looks pretty old I know him personally he's not going to screw me. He wants my bike for his wife, I'm thinking more about the raptor he has now though.
