Default VForce Problem stripped oil filter screw How do I fix it

I just changed the oil on my fcore. I loosed the filter and turned it approximately 2 turns out. After the second turn it was really hard to remove and had to use the oil filter wrench to back it out another 3 turns. After the thrid turn it easly spun off again. I noticed that the screw that the filter screws on to has two lines that are not machined properly (spanned maybe??) when I put a replacement filter on it spun right on got to the spanned section and it was difficult to spin for two turns then spun nicely and tightened right up.

I pulled the second filter off and cheched the threads on both filters and they were fine. Should I fix this or leave it alone. The bike is under warranty but I am sure the dealer will make any excuse not to fix it and I would hate to leave it there for a few days.

The Screw seems easy to replace. Does anybody know the right way to replace the screw?..thread size? and diamiter size?...etc... It looks like a 2 inch nipple. THanks in advance for any help.
