i was just wondering what people thought of honda atv's

 

i dont care for honda,i think they make a good machine and all,but every single person around here that owns a honda,dont matter if its a 450r or a 250ex thinks its the best machine in the world and bash every other machine out there.i raced a couple 400ex's the other day and smoked them the 4 times we raced,of cource that wasnt good enough for them to believe my machine is faster,they both had a excuse for loosing.i dont know if its just around here or do all honda riders have that cocky attitude?

 

um, sounds like your the one with the cocky attitude. I like the 450R the best, but thats my opinion.

Honda makes some of the best machines in the world, and I dont think you'll find many that wouldn't say they have the most reliable line of atvs in mass production. I have always been a fan of honda from my first bike, my first trike, and my first quad. Unfortunately, they came late to the high performance sport quad dance and without anything revolutionary or any "gotta have it" features or draw so they are catching some flack there. Thier utility atvs are still great machines, just not as trail oriented as many people would like so they lose sales there as well. They do score big points with lots of people by staying away from belt driven CVT trannies though.

Aside from the Rincon (Forum members probably know by now i hate that tranny), I wouldn't hesitate to take a honda atv into the lion's mouth because I know it will keep going as long as I can. It may not be as fast or quick as others, but it gets the job done and it will still be there in the end.

 

my experience with honda is awesome, i own a trx450fe esp 2004 model its great, we could of gotten more cc's but 450 has enough torque and power, for what we use it for, it has a 490 lbs compacity, rider and gear included, i've only owned mine for about 1 month, but there are about 70 + miles on it and about 4 hours on it, its great, the only sport quad i would consider is the yamaha raptor 660r

 

Honda is my favorite quad company. My favorite Honda is 99-04 400ex. I've owned 2 yamahas before I got a 400ex, and everything on this bike is so well thought out, made so tough, fits so perfectly. I also like the 450R but I'd take a YFZ450 over it anyday.

Well we've had our 300 Fourtrax since 1993...that means so far its lasted 11 hunting seasons and has schooled two teenage boys to atv'ing within its time and has never had any mechanical problems. Though naturally I would say my 250r is my favorite, considering the money I have already spent on it and yet it is no more than a frame and front suspension at this point....But I dont have any riding time on it to back that up....

 

If it has a Wing on it . then own it.
