banshee balance pipe

Default banshee balance pipe

what is the purpose of the balance pipe that connects the two carbs and can i replace it with any oold pipe or hose or does it have to be a certain diameter i lost mine and dont have the money for a boost bottle

Default banshee balance pipe

Just a hose or pipe will work fine, what that tube does is balance the vacuum/pressure differences in the carbs and cylinders to make fuel delivery more smooth,so the pulses from one don't mess up the intake of the other. if you had a small can with a fitting on it you could make your own boost bottle with a "y" fitting !! But just to keep it running, a basic tube across the carbs will work fine.

Boost bottles are worthless anyway. All they do is rub your throttle cable. So even if you get the money don,t buy one.
