I am 6'2", 250#, will the Big Bear be big enough? II would use it for mostly hunting and trail riding. Some light work around the yard, move a treee out of a trail and maybe a little snow plowing? It appears to be a rugged machine at a good price. Is it reliable, easy to work on yourself and any problems with it. What are some extremes you guys have put this machine through?

I am 6'0" and around 200lbs. My 2000 BigBear is more than adequate for my needs which are very similar to yours. It has plenty of power, and is geared low enough to put that power to the ground.
I have ridden mine fairly hard in mud and sand, on hills and through water. It has yet to disappoint or fail. I can't speak for the reliability yet as it is to new, however the '88 model Yamaha 2wd I had before this one, was thrashed pretty good and stayed reliable as an anvil, it still performs daily service to it's new owner, so I'm sure that my new BigBear will perform as admirably.

The Big Bear 400 is essentially the same as my 99 Kodiak was. I can tell you from personal experience its a rock. Very reliable, built like a brick sh*t house. If your going to do any work with it, the 5 speed tranny is superior to the auto on the new Kodiak. I think you'll be happy with it!

I've had my 00' Big Bear 4x4 for just over a year now and was purchased for the same needs you have. It really has been a great performing and reliable machine. I have only needed to use the winch a few times but is a handy tool to have when you need it. You will be pleased with it's performance.
