Default 85 ATC 200x jetting

hello to everyone. i recently bought a 1985 atc 200x, the same bike i had when i was a kid, and with a snow storm coming our way this weekend, I would love to rip around like old times!!!

one problem though, unfortunately the bike only runs when the choke is fully on (idler then goes way up). The minute I turn the choke off (down) , or even in the middle position, it simply dies.

I am guessing that the carb was never taken apart, simply because these motors are pretty bulletproof, so what could be the problem?

The bike is in excellent condition, and completely stock.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Matt

Hey Welcome to the site. It sounds like you need to take the carb apart and give it a good cleaning.
