Hi all,
just got back from buying a '05 bf650 camo. OTD $6,600 with a bunch of extras. In other parts of the country that is alot but here in N Calif it isnt to bad of a deal. Thanks to all of you who have helped me over the past month or so. They wont be delivering it until wednesday or thursday of next week so I'll sit and go crazy till then.

Heres the bummer part: The engine let go in my truck and now I cant haul it anywhere to go ride, it let go coming back from the dealer!!! How's that for murphys law!!!!!!!!!ARGHHHH Anybody in the N CA Santa Rosa area got room to haul an extra bike in the next week or so? I might just rent a truck.

anyway I am pumped bout the bike . I'll get pics up right after I get it. Now I gotta go get my kid a bike FAST>>>>>>

Thats great on the new Brute, Im sure you will love it. Sorry to hear about the truck though, that has to take some of the enjoyment out of the new purchase. Have your dealer dealiver it. Part of the out the door price says (delivery). My dealer has to drive 1.5 hours (one way) and deliver to my house everytime I buy a quad or wave runner from them. Its Been 4 times now. The part that really gets them is when I drive home in my truck and there right behind me. If I have to pay for a service I want it. Especially since the dealer dont go out of his way to do me any favors.

hey rivermud,

thanks, now all I gotta do is find a way to match your list of Mods... if ya think the wife was pissed bout this wait till I start adding those!!!!! The dealer is delivering to my door without hesitation. They were very good to deal with. Straight up no BS, even went so far as to tell me he was not comfortable selling a few add ons I requested as he was not familiar enough with them, he even got me a huge tax break due to I own agricultural land. They are in Healdsburg CA if any one is interested.

But I still gotta find a way to go ride, I think I'm in for a few days of little or no sleep.

Thats always a bonus to find an honest dealer thats willing to help out. I dont think my wife even notices the mods I put on my bike unless its shiney
Im kicking around the idea of having the heads done and high comp pistons since it will be torn down soon for the cams anyway. Have to keep up with those Brutes I know how frustrating it can be to have a new toy and not be able to play with it. Just think of how clean it will be when you ride it after all the baths you will give it sitting there. The first week I think mine had more bath time than me
have fun.

hey rivermud,

more mods.... then more mods.. I know what you mean. Yup It'll look good sitting on my property doing meaningless chores at very low speeds. DAMN, I need to go find mud and hills.

What do you think the first 3 mods other than tires should be?

Notagain, good show, have fun with your quad. Its so much fun to get out there and get it in the mud. I burried mine in snow yesterday. I had snow over the handle bars and drove out, ye haaaaa

Tires, rims, and maybe a CDI Module, would be my first 3

Offrder15, yes it did, off of the start up it was really nice, plus you simplely plug in to the old plugs. It was a little bit more money then some of the others, but it is way to easy to install and remove.

To this point I would have to say the 3 best mods were tires, CDI, and progressive springs. but the orange/blue and black springs were great also. From stock the Dyna does a great job it gives the bike a whole new attitude. I went from the holeshot mod to the dyna so it wasnt as dramatic but it was better.
So for power I would say CDI, and orange/blue primary- black secondary. For ride I would say tires and progressive springs. both in that order. Kevin
