Default Bayou 220 over-heating?

Yesterday i was riding my bayou 220 and it was about 35 degrees outside. We were going through some mud holes and after a few passes through it my bayou bogged down and cut off and was steaming bad. When I tried to start it back it, it wouldn't start I had to let it sit for 20 minutes and it was still steaming but it started. I wasn't riding it extremely hard for long periods of time actually it had a good bit of time to cool off. What could this be?

Could be that you are running lean. Usually during winter you need to jet up, do to the colder, denser air. Is this the first time it has done it? Also, is this the first time you have ridden it in those temperatures?
