I have a 300ex (mods are below). I have all racing gear. What else should i get. Oh by the way this 300 is only going to be temporary im trading it in for a 250R (of course ill trade it plus money). Thankz

 

looking to xc race?? the set up you have would be pretty good. the only thing i would change would be the air box lid. alot of holes also means more dirt and water in the box when creek crossing. the 250r's are becoming a thing of the past on alot of xc tracks. four strokes are becoming the norm. i perfer the 2 strokes myself. i see you're from PA. check out some of the AWRCS races. go to www.imxracing.com for info on the series. these races are 2 hrs plus 1 lap, somewhat tight and technical tracks. there are classes for just about everyone and it's always been a great time. maybe see you in the woods!! good luck!

 

I don't know where in PA your from but harescrambleracing.com might also help you since harescramble races are very similar to xc.

 

How old do you half to be?

 

as far as age goes, i believe that in the AWRCS series you have to be 16 (maybe wrong here so don't yell at me!), i do know if under 18 must have parent sign release form at race. there are also youth classes. i also race D5 ama harescrambles, D12 in OH, and a few other local races. you just need to check on each events rules on age as they seem to be different for each track. also the site that woodsyammy48 posted has alot of info on races. What area of PA?? this can be helpful for further info.
