Firstly, welcome the tohe Forums.
Secondly, congratulations on your choice of a Rancher ES, you will really like the machine.
We paid $4500 for an '05 Rancher ES 4X4.
Is that price you got for the 2WD or the 4WD?

I paid $4274 (not including delivery and setup) for my 05 2x4 Rancher es.
The dealer ripped me off, we had originally agreed on a price of $3900. But when it came time to sign all of the paperwork my emotions got the best of me (didnt take the time to figure out his voodoo math). It wasnt untill after I got home that I realized he had cheated me. I decided to chalk this one up to experience rather than getting ulcers from fighting the *?#!*&.
Good luck and have fun with your new machine.

As time presses on more and more dealers are using a rather tricky technique. They quote you a price that is at or just below invoice. Then when you go to sign the papers they add in freight, set-up, and a "dock fee". This happened to me when I purchased my 05 rancher AT. the price was $5199. Over the phone I asked if this was the out-the-door price and he said "YES". Technically that is his OTD price but the finance department charges you the other junk fees. I ended up paying $5400 total for my AT which still seems fair. I suggest shipping around which it seems like you have done and play one dealer off the other.
