Default 03 damaged Rancher I drove it and checked it out

It was not as bad looking as I thought. I have some pic of it were can I post for yall to see.?
This was the 03 Rancher 4x4 S that was flipped 5 times over end. One owner younger felllow who
is now married with new house and needs to sell it. The rolll over was a year ago. He said he got back on it it started and has not missed a lick ... The front cap on the left side is cracked right were Rancher is.
The front rack is bent back. The bend is right on the front rack fork. I looked underneath and did not see anything else noticeable. The back left side is bent down..

I was to meet this guy at 4:00 when he got home. I was there waiting. I wanted to be there when starting it was over at his neighboors shed locked up.. Its 25 degrees here in Tenn.. We went over and he pulled the choke and it cranked the first lick and stayed running. I took it for a spin I went as fast as I could get it and let go of wheel. It did go to the right a little . No jerk or nothing weird. Brakes were fine reverse did fine. I ran it pretty good, stopped cut the key off and it clicke right back on..
Again I looked it over real good underneath and did not see anything I could tell.
It was real muddy, he said he did not clean it after a ride just put it up. He changed oil last summer it did look pretty clean... This felllow has a pretty nice house with a 04 Lincon Navigator and new jeep out front.

I took the seat off and there was mud dirt around battery. I took off the Air cap The filter looked ok but there was OIL floating in the bottom of were the Oil filter is. What is the scoop on that?? Does that mean anything? He had price list of all the parts if I wanted to change. It really did run pretty good.
My last one that got stole was a 2x4 Rancher, I for got how it felt driving to tell the difference.

In the begining he was at $2,400 I asked him is low price he said $2,100...
That comes with a new warn winch in the box and it has 4 super swampers.. I thought the would look more agressive.. They had good tread still has the red lines round the center.
He told me I could take it for a
test ride in the woods If i was serious. I assured me there was nothing wrong with engine or handleing.
Just LOOKS..

Ive got this othe fellow with a 03 Rancher ES 950 miles $2,800 one owner who I work with..
Said he was putting in the paper starting at $3,200..

If i got this 4x4 id put on a un lock for yard work.

Ok guys you got the whol story... Wish i had somewhere to post these pics for you.
you guys viewing tell what you think,,,,,, See the pic on down a few post

Maybe you should have bought the one for $2800. Depending on it's shape.

If you only had the $2100. to spend then I could understand buying it. I would have been concerned that the guy was hard on it. Considering he flipped it and all. Also, he didn't even wash it off even though he knew he was trying to sell it. There could be flaws hiding under the dirt. (cracks, dents, bends) It could have a lot of hard miles on it. Good thing it's a Honda. I think $2000. was his real low price and he thought you might come back with one more offer. Maybe. Never really know and there's no point fussing over it. Even though I'd be wondering for a few days.

It really depends on how much it would cost to replace all the damaged parts. (Plastic, both racks and anything else)
If the cost brought the price up near $2800. then I would have considered the other quad. Unless you just didn't have the extra cash right now and want to fix it little by little.

It's nice to have a winch but I don't think I would have left it sway a decision.

Well the deal is done now. I'm sure it will be good as new with a little work. You'll have fun with it.
Good luck. Post a couple pictures after it's cleaned up.`

For the $700 difference, you could most likely get all new plastics, new racks front and rear and still have a bit of change to spare.

EDIT: Just did a quick check and found for about $475 plus shipping you could get both racks, front, rear, side plastics, and mudguards over at Honda Parts World. Service Honda might be a bit cheaper than that.
