A dealer has a '96 wolverine for $2400. Have not looked at it in person yet. Realialbity, easy to maintain, comon wear parts? Mostly used used for trail rides. Anything in particular to look for?

 

Ask how many hours, if stock tires, check the thread to see if it has been worn down.

Nah, every one wants to look for new bikes all the time. Some old bikes are just kept and stored, or some people had them n had no use for the quad, maybe its brand new. you never know.

 

maybe an for that price u cant beat it i just think the newer models are a lil more reliable

 

The ad claims "well taken care of, and it shows". This is a reputable shop, but I have not done business with them before. I usually haul my dog on the rear rack in a home made box, about #60. Will plow my own drive way a few times, haul out a deer and hopefully a elk once in a while.

a buddy i used to ride with had a 96 wolverine, and his dad had the exact same thing, right down to the color. they loved them. i put in quite a few hour on them, too, and they're a great all around quad. if im not mistaken, dirt wheels called the 96 wolverine the best sport-utility quad that year. the only real complaint i heard about them wasnt even a malfuction or anything, just the fact that they're full time four wheel drive. but it didnt bother me any.
