is there any other way to tell if you need new top end. i dont have the correct eqipment to do a compression test. you said that you think that it would take 5-6 hours. i thought it would only take only 1-2
so are you sure about the amount of time it will take.

well i have done alot of engine work. i have done a car engine before. i have built up lots of car engines. i just dont know if this will be the same because its a two stroke and not as large as the car engines i have worked on.

its easier, your take the head and jug off, have that bored/ honed, install the piston onto the rod, then drop the jug over it, if you have mechanical talent you'll be fine. Just remember the arrow on the piston points to the exhaust. good luck.

Theres no way you give a time without at least knowing what bike it is. You could do a rebuild on a blaster in like a hour because its a air cooled single, but a 2 cylinder liquid cooled banshee might take a little longer.

i dont feel like taking it to the shop becuase the ones around here are horrible they charge to much for labor and they are all D**kheads. yes it is a blaster like shavo said so you think i can do it in an hour.
